AIRC's Summer Archaeological Field School at Ostia Antica successfully ended in mid-August, with the trenches backfilled, the intricate documentation completed, and a great deal of new information gained about a very interesting structure, now known as "Prospetto a Mare II." Thanks go to our hard-working staff (Jeff Edwards, Matt Mandich, Piero Gilento, Ilaria Bruni) and four interns (Michelle Al-Ferzly, Selma Amzi, Milica Djordjevic, and Annalee Garrity), collaborator Michele Raddi, and our 32 enthusiastic and energetic students.
We are currently laying the groundwork for the 2013 Summer Archaeological Field School at Ostia Antica. The program dates and full description will be available by late November.
