AIRC has offered internships over the past 10 years, in conjunction with field school excavations and year-round university-level programming. Based upon an individual’s academic training and interests, as well as the availability of projects, interns at the AIRC work under the guidance of faculty and staff and gain first-hand practical experience, marketable skills, and a broad exposure to non-profit work and the field of archaeology.
This year AIRC is offering new media internships for 6-8 weeks this summer in the subjects listed below in relation to its broad-base online communication. They may involve being in Rome and from abroad, in the following areas:
- museum studies
- SEO & social media
- video production & editing
- for classics background: research, writing, editing material for ARL
Cost: $350 (abroad); $600 (on site) + $250 for programming credit
